Martian
Water Hunt Leads to Poles
|
|
Look
for life in pools of water in the polar regions of Mars,
say scientists. Liquid water is the key for life, they
say, but over most of Mars the atmospheric pressure
is too low for water to exist in that state. Now,
an assessment of all the available satellite data suggests
that there may be pools of open water at the poles,
or small lakes just under the ice.....more

I
want to thank the over seven hundred people who replied
to our survey. All of you were instrumental in helping
us determine the future of ECTV. I am pleased to announce
as a result of our findings, ECTV will be able to achieve
our ongoing goals of excellence in news broadcasting
and helping define awareness and choices for all humanity
through the next exciting but turbulent few years.
To maintain ECTV's
ability in continuing our mission statement of excellence in news and information,
and as a reflection of your insight and support, ECTV will implement a very low
cost fee which will be just over two dollars per month to access very important
knowledge for you and your family. Our opening date is set for June 18th 2001.
In addition to the already high standards in material, and as a result of your
support, we will be able to improve our multimedia and broadband delivery. You
can also expect some surprises in future guest and special one time only shows.
To best
facilitate our transition, it would be helpful for you to fill out your subscription
prior to our opening date of June 18th. We will be able to accept most credit
cards, checks, and money orders. It is important that we receive your sign up
information by June 18th in order for you to continue with uninterupted access
to the site and e-mail alerts. You can activate your subscription immediately
by clicking the link below. I
am very excited for the future of Earth Changes TV and what we will soon be able
to bring you. Again, I thank all of you for your undying support and enthusiasm

Berkland

This
is it! The extremely favorable Seismic Window for June
20, 2001 is based upon some extraordinary and converging
astronomical events. Early on June 21st the Sun will
be as high as it can get in the northern hemisphere
as the summer Solstice occurs. Almost simultaneously,
there will be a prolonged (5-minute) total solar eclipse
passing from A to Z (Angola Zanzibar) across central
Africa and over Madagascar. Within two days there will
also be the closest lunar perigee and the highest Golden
Gate tides (8.4 feet), since last February, which was
a month of high seismicity. ( In addition, although
of little gravitational consequence, the brilliant red
planet Mars will be at its minimum distance to Earth
on June 21st, which will certainly attract the attention
of both astronomers and astrologers.)
The last time that the summer solstice occurred on the
same day as syzygy (and perigee) was June 22, 1997.
I had been asked by the Puget Sound media what that
might mean and I indicated that it was a time of concern
about local earthquakes. Sure enough, the only 5M quake
in the 48 conterminous states that year did a lot of
damage in Bremerton, WA on June 23rd. By the next day
there were additional quakes of 4.6M near Vancouver
and Grand Coulee, which was a highly unusual concentration
of moderate quakes (despite denials by local scientists
that such timing was out of the ordinary).
