A Night of Destruction in Ft. Worth Texas...03/28/00

Several tornadoes hit the Dallas Ft. Worth area on Tuesday night. A severe thunderstorm screeched through the area in the mid evening shocking everyone.

The first sign of severe weather was in the afternoon when the sky's were clear and calm. Then clouds quickly rolled in and the sky's darkened. As the weather turned, many news stations broke into inform everyone that the first tornado had torn through the downtown area of Ft. Worth..

There were injured at and this time 4 deaths have been reported. There were tornadoes in the outlying areas of Arlington, Waxhachie, Oak Cliff, and DeSoto. Total damage is not known at this time.

There was little rain during the storms in some of the areas very close to the tornadoes. Just sudden and very quick and deadly high winds. More storms are forming in the area at this time.

The destructive storm that hit Ft. Worth is moving eastward and is now on the edge of Dallas County.
