Sunspot Count Continues To Rise, Solar Flares To Follow...01/14/00

Todays sunspot count is 218. This is now a count of 68 sunspots more than NASA's prediction of their highest count for "Cycle 23" which 150. And of course remember, it is only January. The maximum count is yet to come in March/April.

NASA has now stated on their web site; " major flare activity is likely. Sunspot group #8824 has developed a complex beta-gamma-delta magnetic field. It is the largest sunspot group on the sun and a possible site for M-class and X-class eruptions."

As stated in previous article, look for more "record" breaking weather to follow.
