Official Space Weather Advisory...04/26/00
by NOAA Space Environment Center

Outlook For April 26-May 2

There will be a fair chance for an isolated R1 (minor) radio blackout sometime during the period. Should an R1 radio blackout occur, expect the following effects on the sunlit side of Earth: minor degradation of high-frequency communication signals resulting in occasional loss of radio contact for mariners and en route aviators, and minor degradation of low-frequency navigation signals for brief intervals affecting maritime and general aviation positioning.

No solar radiation storms are expected. No geomagnetic storms are expected, barring an Earth-directed coronal mass ejection (CME).

Data used to provide space weather services are contributed by NOAA, USAF, NASA, NSF, USGS, the International Space Environment Services  and other observatories, universities, and institutions.
