From
the standpoint of Zen, mind and universe are identical.
Conscious awareness is the source of what is being perceived
through the senses. A mirror
reflecting itself. The universe is the outward expression
of our own inner awareness. The universe of individual things
we perceive around us is an illusion. When we look out into
space we are looking inward at our own mind. The basis of
Buddhism is that no individual thing has any real existence
apart from Mind. For this reason it is said that all things
are empty.
The
world reflects our collective level of conscious awareness.
By altering consciousness we can alter this world and visa
versa. This is what is happening to our world around us.
Current Earth and Solar Changes are in reality
changes within our psyche or mind itself. We are witnessing
the outward manifestation of collective inner changes within
our own minds or Mind.
A slow
alteration of consciousness has been going on for eons of
time at a steady pace but began to increase in the 20th
century. The 1960s began a period
of greatest intensification and has been continuing right
up to the present. The collective mind has now reached a
point where a major shift in awareness and physical reality
is about to occur.
Zen
Buddhism refers to our current level of awareness as the
realm of birth and death. This is an amnesic existence in
which we are continuously reborn never remembering our previous
existences. Each lifetime a separate existence but connected
unconsciously to the previous lifetime. This is a form of
immortality but leaves much to be desired.
In
the Bible we read in Genesis that Adam was warned about
forbidden knowledge that would ultimately bring death. Adam
and Eve disregarded this warning. The result was the alteration
of Human Consciousness and a descent into an existence in
the realm of birth and death. Earth was altered even as
consciousness was altered.
At
the same time a divine plan or evolutionary process was
begun that would eventually elevate mankind back to the
original condition. In Zen this is called "The Original
Mind". It's discovery is called Enlightenment. In the
Bible it is refereed to as Eternal Life. It is the altering
of Human Consciousness and a release from this dark realm
that has for so long imprisoned us. A return to the realm
of Eternal Life. A return to the Original Mind.
This
process has been accumulative since time immoral. It has
finally reached a pivotal point in which a sudden shift
is eminent owing to this accumulation.
The last straw so to speak. A sudden leap from this world
to the next while still incarnate. Not death but transformation.
In the Bible it is referred to as Transfiguration or Ascention.
By these Earthly changes we may measure the degree of change
within ourselves. The altering of conscious awareness.
